This technique was developed by L.A. CENTER (see Hair Transplant Forum International, July-August 1997, Volume 7, Number 4) to prepare recipient site slit incisions. This technique creates the slit and dilates the opening with one step movement. Graft placement requires less handling and less trauma to the blood supply occurs. Overall graft survivability is improved. This technique required the development of the L.A. CENTER
" The level of trauma delivered to the blood supply of the recipient site, is in my opinion, very important to the survival of grafts and the final results......It is my opinion that the needles of L.A. CENTER .....represent an advance and a lesser traumatic method of graft insertion for small grafts " B. L. Limmer, M.D.
